policy, to protect the travellers and their pockets.

The number of contingencies covered in the holiday insurance policy varies from
insurer to insurer with different levels of compensation. The number of days and
the continents visited determines the amount of premium. In many cases, it is
possible to reduce the number of contingencies covered, which will reduce the
premium.

The insurance will commence from the date of departure and end on arrival in
Bahrain. The period of the policy ranges from a minimum of 5 days to a maximum of
60 - 90 days. Frequent travellers can enjoy the benefits of annual multiple journey
policies.

Accidents that occur during holidays will be covered in the insurance policy and not
those before the commencement of the holiday. For instance, medical expenses will
cover treatment of a fall occurring during the holidays but not the treatment
related to a heart condition that was in existence before the journey. Alcohol and
drug abuse incidents are not considered in this policy.

This comprehensive policy covers traveller's baggage, passport, personal injuries,
medical and emergency expenses, personal liability and many more. All that's
required to ensure full benefits of the holiday insurance policy is to carry a copy
of the policy along on the journey. In times of emergencies, the policy number and
contact information of the insurer can help the insured in getting prompt attention.
A Tip: If a mishap does occur, make sure you keep as much paperwork as possible -
tickets, receipts, medical bills, police reports, etc.
